Do you guys have an usenet newsgroup? I'm curious. It would be neat if you guys have it.

Is it possible to have a newsgroup out of usenet? And would it be actually any different from the bbj?

Honestly, we have IRC and BBJ already. No reason to have usenet. >>3

That being said, we do indeed have a usenet.

Can someone confirm this? I followed the config process from https://news.tildeverse.org/ and it didn't really work. once set environment variable NNTPSERVER to localhost, was able to connect. but both slrn and alpine showed the list of newsgroups, but every group was empty. >>5

oh boy, we've really let the usenet maintenance fall to the wayside. i'll make that my next project, to get it up and running again.

>>7 Tilde Net News is up and running fine on the following hosts: tilde.club tilde.institute tilde.black cosmic.voyage tilde.pink baud.baby It is technically running and syncing on tilde.team, but I can't get it to connect with slrn. We need to do a little work there. If you are on a tilde that is not peering with the tilde net news system and would like to join us, bug your admin to contact me. - tomasino
