It can be retro-styled too. Mine: LOVE by Fred Wood

>>OP LOVE looks awesome!, I want to give it a try later... How long is it? I know it's a bit mainstream but Dwarf Fortress is my retro-styled --also a little retro right now-- favorite game! Have you played before?

>>1 LOVE is I think 15 levels for the main part. It has 5 'Remix' levels and includes 3 levels from LOVE 2:kuso

>>1 I haven't tried Dwarf Fortress, but I'll look into it. If you buy LOVE, get it on itch.io rather than Steam. That way you get the Android apk version (Android 4.1 and up!) and a Steam key for Steam. You get the best of both worlds!

>>4 ...NetHack? I don't know if it's retro or what, I've simply been playing it for 40 years and finally beat it a couple months ago. If you like retro games you can check out ssh -p2233 muinet@muinet.com password muinet create a free account, log in, and find a bunch of old games from the 1970s and 1980s.

Mine HAS to be The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. There's a lot of things nowadays that breathes new life into the game, such as speedrunning, randomizers, and more. The entire codebase for the game has been reverse engineered by the ZeldaRET (https://github.com/zeldaret) team, and another group called Harbor Masters has made a PC port of the game called Ship of Harkinian (https://www.shipofharkinian.com/). I highly recommend checking it out. SoH also has a built in randomizer.>>OP

>>OP It's tough to beat a [Ms.] Pac-Man arcade machine. It's such simple gameplay but surprisingly compelling. Something about that industrial-strength joystick that you can slam around really adds to the experience. For retro-style, I have to go with Celeste.

>>5 NetHack definitely counts!
